Plant protection and pest control products need to be used legally, safely and competently. City & Guilds qualifications provide assessment of both underpinning knowledge and practical skills.

Pesticides

Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1)

Candidate must successfully complete and pass the online e-volve test before they can register for any of the further pesticide qualifications within the new pesticide suite.

Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides Using Self Propelled, Mounted, Trailed Horizontal Boom Sprayers (PA2)

Specifically for those who wish to use either self propelled, mounted or horizontal boom sprayers as part of their daily role.

Level 2 in the Safe Application of Pesticides Using Variable Geometry Boom or Broadcast Sprayers (PA3)

Specifically for those who wish to use either variable geometry boom or broadcast sprayers as part of their daily role. 

Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pelleted or Granular Pesticides Using Mounted or Trailed Applicators (PA4)

Specifically for those who wish to use either a pelleted or granular applicator (slugs) which can be mounted or trailed as part of their daily role.

Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides using Pedestrian Hand Held Equipment (PA6)

Specifically for those who wish to apply pesticides using various types of handheld applicators.

Level 2 Award in the Safe Mixing and Transferring of Pesticides (PA8)

Specifically  for those who mix and transfer pesticides as part of their daily role.
